NICOLE’S KEY ISSUES
-
Our government should serve everyday Ohioans—not special interests.
I believe that every person in our state deserves the opportunity to build a stable, dignified life through meaningful work. That starts with ensuring that one good-paying job is enough to support a family. I will always stand with unions, fight to protect collective bargaining rights, and oppose efforts that weaken worker protections.
My priorities include raising wages, defending workplace safety standards, and addressing the gender and racial pay gaps that continue to hold back far too many families. I’ll also support policies that encourage small business growth and strengthen local economies, because when working people succeed, Ohio succeeds.
Protecting women’s rights to make their own healthcare decisions and ensuring equal access to democracy are also vital to economic freedom. Together, we can built a stronger economy that actually works for working people—not just the wealthy few.

Every child in Ohio deserves access to a high-quality public education, regardless of their zip code, family income, or background.
Strong schools are the foundation of strong communities, and investing in public education means investing in our future. I will work to fully and fairly fund our schools through initiatives like the Fair School Funding Plan, which ensures that resources are distributed equitably and sustainably. Our students deserve safe classrooms, modern learning tools, and educators who are supported and respected for the vital work they do.
At the same time, I will advocate for policies that recognize and preserve the unique strengths of our many excellent districts here in House District 19. From early childhood education to preparing students for college and careers, we must provide pathways for every child to succeed. Public education is not just a line in the budget—it’s a commitment to the next generation and to Ohio’s future.
-
A healthy community begins with a healthy environment.
Protecting Ohio’s natural resources is both a moral responsibility and an economic opportunity. I will fight to safeguard Lake Erie from pollution and harmful algal blooms, ensuring clean drinking water and thriving ecosystems for generations to come.
We must also invest in renewable energy sources like solar and wind, which create good-paying jobs while reducing carbon emissions. Clean energy can power Ohio’s future and strengthen our economy while protecting our planet.
Another priority is removing toxic lead from older homes, schools, and buildings—because no child should suffer the lifelong consequences of preventable environmental hazards.
Protecting public health, addressing climate change, and creating sustainable growth all go hand in hand. By taking bold action today, we can leave a safer, healthier, and more resilient Ohio for the generations to come.

Building a better Ohio means making sure that every resident has the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, and equality.
I am committed to protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ Ohioans and ensuring that no one faces discrimination because of who they are or who they love. I will advocate for sensible gun safety reforms, including common-sense background checks and responsible ownership measures that protect families and communities while respecting constitutional rights.
Affordable housing is another priority: every Ohioan deserves a safe place to call home, and I will fight to expand access to housing and increase opportunities for homeownership. I will also continue the fight for equity and opportunity in every community, ensuring that people of all races, genders, and backgrounds can thrive.
These commitments are not separate issues—they are part of a broader vision for a more inclusive, fair, and prosperous Ohio that leaves no one behind.
